SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE FLOW™

THURSDAY OCTOBER 6th AVALON 8PM

50 Cent-"Window Shopper"
This joint is gonna appear on the soundtrack to 50s 8 Mile knockoff. I hate that i kind of like this joint. The sample is lifted from a Bob Marley joint, 'Burnin and Lootin' Meanwhile his other joint--'Hustler's Ambition' uses the same Frankie Beverly and Maze sample used on Jeezy's 'Talk To Em' peep it here.

Rick James-"Mary Jane" (Green Lantern Remix)
Fuck around and let the Evil Genius put out his own remix album. I don't know where or what this is from, but im fuckin with Green on this one. Slowed down the tempo and threw some crazy Im A Hustler drums over it, unfortunately Green didn't put cuts anywhere on it.

Styles P-"The Key"
I had to add another banger off the new Styles mixtape out. Vinny Idol has been lacing all these D-Block mixtapes with some real heat, and this is another example. The entire tape has fire on it, don't sleep on 'Ghost P' and Ghost Stories part 1 and 2. The beat selection on the freestyles are on point. Mario dug up beats such as KRS' 'The MC' and RUN DMC's 'Beats To The Rhyme' this type of selection hasn't been matched since um...the Clipse's picks of Show and AG's 'Next Level' and Outkast's 'Elevators'.

DON'T SPEAK MUCH

Jamie Foxx feat. Ludacris-"Unpredictable"
Willie Beamen is at it again! Luckily, for us this single is def hotter than the throwaway joint him and Kanye collabo'ed on.

Notorious B.I.G feat. Bob Marley-"Hold Ya Head" (AOL VERSION)
The first single from the up and coming "Notorious Duets: The Last Chapter". The album is slated to drop on November 22nd and has features ranging from Ludacris to Q-Tip. This joint is basically a re-worked version of "Suicidal Thoughts", with Bob on the hook. I am hoping for some unheard lyrics to pop up on this LP, like that DJ ENVY/PEPSI commercial that never saw the light of day.

Styles P feat. Sizzla-"I'm Black" (RMX)
The remix of Styles first joint which hit radio hard, and was then pulled from rotation due to the content of the song. This version features Damon Dash Music Group signee Sizzla Kalonji doing the hook, then trading verses with Mr. Holiday Styles himself. The track is off the new "Ghost in the Machine" mixtape available at from your local bootlegger.

Beautiful Hustle (SHOUTS TO ESSY!)

Listen
to Wendy Williams chop it up with Kanye yesterday in NYC--airing out such rumors as the Shirley Bassey lawsuit, the repurcussions of his George Bush comments, and much much more.

Also check out some vintage childhood pics, and the Kanye X Fiona Apple interview over at Crunk and Disorderly

BACK ON MY BULLSHIT

Dont forget to check out VH-1's "Hip Hop Honors" tonight at 9pm. Word is the Kane/Kanye performance is worth it.

Raekwon-"Apple Jax"
Lotta Rae material leaking lately--unfortunately this joint isn't as hot as the last couple of joints to break through to the internets. Actually, this joint doesn't even sound finished--Rae spits some gems, but the weed carrier on the hook, i can definitely do without. I'm still thinking this album can shape up real nice.

Purple Ribbon Allstars-"Body Rock" (its no Kryptonite)

Re-Up Gang-"Monopoly"
Re-working the classic Show and AG joint, fucking genius. Nuff said. Cop this disc

50 Cent-"Window Shopper"

T-Pain feat. Styles P-"So High"
T-Pain (short for Tallahasse Pain) will soon be all over your MTV--remember where you heard it first. Y'all might remember the joint "I'm Sprung" out couple months back featuring Stat Quo (that never really popped). Well, the newest signee to Akon's new imprint Konvict Music, T-Painis back and brings some real fire with this joint. This is the second joint i've heard from dude this week-his other joint "I'm In Love With A Stripper" flexes more of the commercial appeal. Styles jumps off this track and brings that street thuggery to the bouncy track, but it isn't until T-Pain gets on the mic when shit gets really real. Unfortunately this dude will not appreciate yet another 'Ode To Weed' (via catchdubs)

I DOES THIS

Ask about me...

Obie Trice-"They Wanna Know"
2nd ROUND'S ON ME!! If this Emile-produced banger, featured during the end credits of one of this season's Entourage, is any indication of how Motor City's most underrated album might shape up, then daaamn. I gotta give it to dude, Emile..his last 2 joints i heard (this and Rhymefest-"All I Do") BANGERS.

Raekwon-"Treasurer"
New banger from the chef..some leak joint promoting "OB4CB2". Rae spits vintage over the slow tempo'ed neck-breakin beat. The quick shout to the incarcerated scarfaces did it for me. Shouts to DJ Riddler for this one. Listening to this joint gets me tight that I missed dude kill it in front of the live band in NYC last week. If you missed it like i did, you can peep him rock C.R.E.A.M live tho...WHO GOT THAT GOOD CRACK?! Great minds think alike!

AZ-"Never Change"
Album cut off of Sosa's up-coming album A.W.O.L. So what..i'm a sucker for the vocal-samples still. This joint has that fly shape-up/Gucci Shade AZ flow all over it. The album filled-out real well with appearances by Ghost, Rae, Bounty Killer, and even a sick 16 from Half-a-Mil (RIP). The bonus joints on the album include the bangers "Live Wire" and "Magic Hour" featuring CL Smooth.

Mixtape Radio is looking to do a mixtape to raise funds for disaster relief from Hurricane Katrine. The mixtape will be a 2CD mixtape. The mixtape will sell for $12 and all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross. Submit a 1-3 song mix of Hip-Hop, R&B, blends, Down South, Reggae. For anyone interested in adding material, email mixtaperadio.net@gmail.com, make sure to put "MIXTAPE RADIO Disaster Relief Mixtape" in the subject.

Kanyeezey+Jeezy ??

VH1 is doing another Hip Hop Honors this month. They have yet to update their website with any info, but i saw the commercial and it looked like it had potential with tributes to Big Daddy Kane and Biggie.

New Whoo Kid mixtape is dropping. Aside from G-Unit's response to Game "300 Bars", you can expect new Young Buck, Mase Murda skits, and live versions of your favorite Tony Yayo songs.

I don't normally post up eardrum-popping Kayslay-heavy tracks, but this new Juelz joint featuring Cam'ron was too dope to resist. Re-using the "World Of Music/Welcome To Jamrock" sample over an obnoxious, (in a very dope way) west-coast heavy bass line the joint features a dope Juelz verse, with an even doper Cam appearance. You can find this joint on one of Slay's new mixtapes. For those who haven't heard Slay is the latest addition to Sirius' SHADE45 station.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND BONUS JOINTS:

Kool G Rap & Canibus-"Gun Ho City"

Heltah Skeltah & Thirston Howl III-"It Gets No Better"
